The nexus of all Japanese studies at the UW, the Center brings together faculty, students, and the greater community to promote research, teaching, and events.

The Japan Endowment was established in 1973 with a gift from the Japan Foundation for the “support and promotion of Japanese studies” at the University of Washington.
