Dr. Nick Riley
UW Assistant Professor of Chemistry Nick Riley’s research aims to understand the proteins on cell surfaces that are modified by sugar in a process called glycosylation, and what it means for our health.

Office of Research
The UW research enterprise is supported by the UW Office of Research, whose units provide oversight and tools for research administration, award management, finance, compliance, security and training. The Office of Research also provides financial support to researchers and centers through limited submission opportunities, bridge funding and the Royalty Research Fund.
Open Scholarship Commons
The Open Scholarship Commons in Suzallo Library is a one-stop-shop for knowledge creation services and support. In this hybrid space, researchers, instructors and students can connect with UW Libraries and campus experts to do technology-intensive work across disciplinary boundaries, including digital publishing, data visualization, impact measurement and text mining.
Office of Global Affairs
The Office of Global Affairs is the hub for all global engagement at the UW, including globally-engaged research and teaching, student opportunities, travel and safety, and data on the UW’s global activities and research. Through its Global Innovation Fund, The Office of Global Affairs supports transformative cross-college, cross-continent research collaborations and global learning experiences at the UW.
