Center for Science of Synthesis Across Scales Shared Lab (CSSAS Lab)

CSSAS aims to harness the complex functionality of hierarchical materials by mastering the design of high-information-content building blocks that predictively self-assemble into responsive, reconfigurable, self-healing materials, and direct the formation and organization of inorganic components.

Description

The CSSAS Shared Lab is equipped with 16 wet chemical benches, a fume hood, two sinks, and chemical storage space. The lab includes two wet bays for molecular biology, protein expression and purification, and peptoid synthesis (including LC-MS and HPLC instruments). Researchers have access to three meeting rooms, a kitchen area, and enjoy the support of a dedicated building management team. The CSSAS Shared Lab host CSSAS users from across the UW campus, as well as visiting researchers from CSSAS sites.
