Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) Vessels

APL maintains and operates a small fleet of vessels ranging from a 16′ RIB to a 65′ catamaran. Operating areas range from Lake Washington/Union/Portage Bay to Puget Sound, the Straits of Juan de Fuca and Washington Coast. APL’s pier is located under the University Bridge equipped with cranes/davits and forklifts.

  • R/V Jack Robertson: 56′ fiberglass hull
  • R/V Russell Davis Light: 65′ aluminum hull catamaran
  • R/V Echo: 26′ aluminum hull landing craft
  • R/V Almar: 26′ aluminum hull
  • Zodiac: 16′ RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat)
