Description
We believe that equitable and transformative change to prevent firearm-related harm can only be effectively materialized through genuine partnership with those most impacted by this public health and public safety challenge. Alongside community, research, and policy partners, we: (1) investigate the determinants of firearm death and injury at the individual, community, and societal level; (2) evaluate the effectiveness of firearm laws and policies; (3) assess the consequences of firearm violence; and (4) develop strategies to reduce the toll of firearm-related harm among people of the state and our country.
- Vision: a vibrant world where all people are safe, healthy, and thriving
- Mission: to inform, develop, and evaluate equitable programs, practices, and policies that prevent firearm-related harm
- Values: Humility, Relationship, Justice
