Mission

The Design Machine Group (DMG) is a collaborative research group. Its mission is to explore and facilitate development of a new generation of design software, application of simulation, analysis, and fabrication processes in the design process, and utilization of digital technologies to create smart environments. Students from many disciplinary backgrounds join our faculty to pursue research in areas that include design methods, simulation and analysis, collaboration and community, digital fabrication, human computer interfaces for design, smart environments, augmented and virtual reality and other related topics.
