Description
Mission: The Northwest Center for Public Health Practice (NWCPHP) promotes excellence in public health through training, research, and evaluation. We maintain strong partnerships locally, regionally, and nationally, placing a particular focus on the needs of state, local, and tribal public health organizations in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
Core Services Offered
Training: NWCPHP offers online courses, webinars, toolkits, virtual and in-person training, institutes, learning communities, and much more as part of our practice-based continuing public health education. We also offer consultation services for comprehensive public health workforce development planning. Gain access to hundreds of no-cost training and workforce resources in PH LearnLink.
Research: NWCPHP is an active partner in public health systems and services research. In close partnerships with public health agencies and community-based organizations, we investigate practice-relevant questions and translate findings into practical tools that address today’s front-line health challenges.
Evaluation: NWCPHP offers a comprehensive suite of evaluation services, including program evaluation planning and implementation, rapid-cycle quality improvement, literature reviews, needs assessments, and gap analyses. We support all phases of evaluation, including survey design, data collection and analysis, reporting, and data visualization.
