Description
This research center will focus on health research and health promotion among Indigenous population throughout the Americas. With established Indigenous research partners in Guatemala, Peru and Colombia, among other countries, the center will conduct state of the art health research with the purpose of reducing health disparities among Indigenous peoples in the South, Central and North America. Abya Yala is a term used by some Indigenous peoples of the Americas to refer to the landmass commonly known as the Americas.
