Description

The mission of the Western Regional Aquaculture Center (WRAC) is to support aquaculture research, development, demonstration, and education to enhance viable and profitable U.S. aquaculture production for the benefit of consumers, producers, service industries, and the American economy. Two foundation elements of the RAC program are: 1. Industry involvement in all aspects of project development, ensuring funding of projects that directly impact commercial aquaculture efforts in each region. 2. Regional team approach fosters integration of research, extension, and industry capabilities, avoiding duplication of effort and ensuring efficient use of resources.
