Spotlight on partnership builders: Global Innovation Exchange
UW’s Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) was created to cultivate leaders who are equally skilled in the business and art of technology. Jointly integrated with the College of Engineering and Foster School of Business, GIX provides students with interdisciplinary, project-based learning that blends engineering, business, and design.

Community and its representation lies the heart of Dr. Jin-Kyu Jung’s urban planning and mapping research. “Our work made marginalized people more visible through mapping, and showing where needs aren’t being met on the map illustrated the most important points for volunteer opportunities,” says Jung.
