The DEOHS Shared Equipment offers access to versatile laboratory and analytical instruments that support diverse research applications across the biological, chemical, and environmental sciences. Available equipment includes:

These instruments are suitable for a range of molecular biology, analytical chemistry, imaging, toxicology, and sample preparation workflows.
In addition, the department hosts two specialized Cores that expand available capabilities: the Environmental Health Laboratory and Trace Organics Analysis Center, with a broad range of equipment for organic, gravimetrics and inorganic analyses for assessing environmental or personal exposures to toxic chemicals, and the EDGE Genomics, Bioinformatics & Biostatistics, Microphysiological Systems Facility Core, with advanced molecular and immunoassay technologies for gene expression, protein quantification, and biomarker discovery.
Together, these shared resources enhance cross-disciplinary research and foster efficient use of instrumentation across the UW research community.
